Creating a Calm Environment with Soft Materials

I’ve been experimenting with soft materials in my classroom lately, like silk scarves and wool balls, to see how they affect the children’s focus and engagement. I really noticed that when they have the opportunity to explore these textures, it helps create a calming atmosphere, especially during those busy transition times. Has anyone else found that incorporating different tactile tools has changed the dynamic in their environment?
