I’m designing a 6-week micro-credential on observation and lesson readiness for 3–6 guides that blends 10-minute video rehearsals with weekly work-curve analysis pulled from classroom logs. If you’ve tried something similar, which competencies did you assess and how did you document growth while staying faithful to the prepared environment, control of error, and following the child?
Used 10-minute videos to code wait time, number of prompts, and adult distance; then overlaid the weekly “work-curve” from logs to see if independence rose. Growth lived in a one-page rubric plus a tiny chart of independent repetitions vs adult words/minute, and we flagged any breach of “control of error.” Caveat: record from the threshold or outside peak cycles so the camera doesn’t distort the prepared environment.
