Supporting bilingual learning with Montessori materials

I’ve been incorporating immersion strategies in my bilingual classroom, focusing on Montessori materials that promote cultural exchange. The globe and language cards have become favorites, sparking curiosity about different countries and languages among the kids. Have any of you found specific tools that enhance global awareness in your classrooms?

It’s interesting how the globe captivates the kids! I’ve found that adding storybooks from different cultures can enhance that curiosity, too — like using the globe as a starting point for a related story. Have you tried pairing books with the language cards yet?
