Supporting Language Through Play

I’ve recently noticed how simple games, like singing action songs or playing with puppets, can really boost our toddlers’ language skills. It’s fascinating to see them engage with words while also refining their motor skills through movement. What are some of your go-to activities that support both language and physical development?

I totally agree! Action songs are like a gym session for their vocab! One fun activity I’ve tried is using a puppet to create a little story — kids love interacting and chime in so effortlessly.

Games like Simon Says really help with both language and action! Have you tried incorporating a storytelling element too? :bear::microphone:.

Absolutely! I love using simple puppets for storytelling too; it really encourages kids to express themselves. Have you noticed how they also start to mimic the actions and words from songs?
