When glue sticks turn into a wild art party

I had a hilarious moment today during art time when the kids decided that glue sticks are the new fancy hairstyling products. We ended up with more glue in their hair than on the paper! It’s a great reminder that sometimes the messier the process, the more fun and creativity can unfold. Has anyone else had glue-related giggles in the classroom?

, I totally get that! We had a similar meltdown with glitter last week, and it ended up everywhere but the artwork. I think it’s part of their creative process, but wow, the cleanup is a whole other story.

It’s funny how glue can double as hairstylist and art medium! I once found my classroom covered in gluey hair, and I thought, ‘Who needs art supplies when you have kids?’ Any tips on getting glue out of hair other than just snipping it off? @annpete.
